The Day Mary Poppin's Came to the Studio

Last Friday evening saw the whole cast of the Mary Poppin’s Film come to the studio and have a rip-roaringly fun time at a big numbered Birthday Party. It was as a celebration for Christine Harrop’s 39th plus eleventh Birthday. The room was removed of the majority of traces of my Photography equipment and decorated to depict scenes from the film by Paula of Elite Wedding Designs. This included a merrygo round of gaily tethered horses, the Banks Family front parlour, a votes for Women wall, a roof top with chimneys and a flying of kites scene.

Catering was kindly provided by Ravenstone Event and Function Caterers, my neighbour at Tanners Business Centre, bar by Carl Benton, Professional Bar Services and a candy bar offered guests a sweetshop experience that was voraciously appreciated by all. Two of the Ravenstone catering staff dressed as penguins which made for an amusing sight behind the hot bar.

Lisa Gee of Lipgloss and Lenses used the occasion to launch her new venture of the Travelling Mystique Circus Show – a photobooth containing funny props, hats and feather boas. A number of guests frequented the photobooth over 5 times, with both photographer and guests rolling in laughter.

I kept an eye over proceedings and the state of my new carpet ( ! ),  and captured a number of images that I hope go someway towards showing the enjoyment felt that evening. Thank you to Christine for choosing our venue.
