Recreating Old Family Photographs
With the rapid changes going on with my teenage boys in their schooling and general appearance, growing into young men and no longer boys, I’ve been reflecting on photographs of them taken when they were much younger.
Two family favourites that are hanging in pride of place in our hallway at home are one of A at 6 yrs old ( he’s 16 this year) and another of the whole family taken as a ‘selfie’ having set the camera up to work automatically.
The time has come to recreate these family images, and it’s been great fun doing it.
It’s also amazing to see how A’s posture has changed with the elongation of his neck and I wonder how much is also down to intense gaming on the computer. I so hope this isn’t the case and just a case of keeping his head held high.

The family selfie is still in progress, as gathering just 4 of us is tricky, as is reusing the location we originally were photographed in as there are often cars parked right in front of the doors– don’t remember them 10 yrs ago!
I’ll keep you posted as soon as this one is recreated.
