Earlier this year I was involved in taking photographs for a Charity Calendar to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. It was part of a project organised by a young lady, Laura Norrey, that regularly models for me, as a tribute to her Grandmother whom she sadly lost to the disease during the run of the project.
Myself and another Photographer, Terry McNamara, took alternate months and recreated/took photographs that were inspired by Cheesecake images depicting Pin-Up girls from the 1940s and 50’s. Our models were ladies from Laura’s Burlesque troop Blush. Make-up for my models was performed by Lisa Gee, props and a few venues donated by a range of helpful local businesses and puppy my own.
The end result is a beautiful classic Calendar designed and printing organised by Graphic Designer Simon Clarke.
Please put your hand in your pocket and buy just one calendar for a very worthy cause – or two or three as they make great gifts for Christmas. I’m hoping they may even top the Pirelli Calendar in garages over the country this year 😉 BUY A CALENDAR HERE – it’s also Laura’s own site that is definitely worth a browse.
Here are the resulting images that I produced.
