How can Jude help you with your Wedding Photography – contact her here to find out more.
A few weeks ago I was commissioned to take photographs at a Wedding at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire. It proved to be a logistical headache as I was asked to take images as the bride was getting ready, in a cottage in the neighbouring village, up until just after the speeches in the stables next to the house. ‘Now what is difficult about that?’ I hear the most experienced photographer ask. Not only did I have to dodge the usual visitor traffic to the House on a Saturday but also the Olympic Flame was being run through the gardens, and along the road that my bride was arriving on – so extra carparking was organised and I had to wriggle through the ongoing celebrations for the flame before I could start recording those for the Wedding.
As an experienced photographer I made sure I was at the venue well ahead of the Wedding to suss out routes and getaways. And my plans went ahead beautifully.
After leaving the bride in the arms of her Dad fully dressed and made-up at the cottage, I dashed back to the House to capture her arriving in style, and caught the celebrations of the Flame in the background just as the Wedding car headed up the hill to the stables. Precision timing or what?!!
The rest of the Wedding Celebrations ran very smoothly and the weather behaved, light cloud cover but warm all day. Perfect!
