I received my copy of Imagemaker today – published by The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. It was lovely to find 2 of my photographs, taken at local Weddings in the Saddleworth and Manchester area, printed in the competition section alongside many other worthy winners from all around the world. I have previously won Gold awards for the two images which then puts them forward to the Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010 competition – results in March. Another Gold award was published during the year, an image of Dovestone Reservoir, as well as a number of Silver and bronze awards. Please click on the images to see larger.
I’m really excited to tell you about the new Art Books that I am now offering to my Wedding clients. You may have heard of graphistudio books – well these are the same but made by a different company. They come in a range of covers –
- Plain linen or faux leather covers in an assortment of colours to match your wedding colours
- A linen style cover with a photograph of your choice covering the book or just on the front cover
- An ice-acrylic front cover with a photograph of your choice embedded.

Inside the photographs are printed straight onto thick pages that are laminated so providing a robust image. They are all beautifully handmade and printed by my printing company – so expect high quality.
I now have a new range of frames available for framing your prints. Frames can fit from the smallest print (6×4″) up to enormous (60×40″ ). They come in a range of beautiful contemporary materials to suit any image and room decor.

Suddenly realised I haven’t posted since early January – networking opportunities have taken over – not a bad thing!Wedding processing, Portrait sessions, enquiries and bookings ongoing, trialing new software and helping out friends in need in deed. I will write again very soon with new of upcoming work and opportunites.
The New Year has started off well with 2 sessions in the studio before the 4th of January. The studio is also to be hired at the end of at the week for the use of a catalogue clothing shoot by a fellow photographer – Mark Gibbons Yet again this morning saw a fall of snow and so the boots came out again – although rather worse for wear!
In the last few weeks I have been rushed off my feet with Portrait session orders, album orders and sessions.I expected the snow to cause problems with my last wedding of the year but fortunately for the couple there was a thaw before the next storm, and the only winter wonderland was found inside the reception room, with a beautiful blue and white theme – and it was warm! All family and couple photographs were taken indoors with the aid of a wireless flash set-up. We’ve also helped to celebrate a 7th birthday at the studio with another sucessful Magazine Shoot Party. A make-over and photographs were much enjoyed by the girls who were already on a high with the imminent arrival of Christmas.
